Theme Presentation Blog For this project, my partner and I were assigned the topic of arts and culture, and we were the first group to present. Being the first meant we had to complete our project quickly, which added some pressure but also allowed us to set the tone for the other groups. Although the early deadline was a challenge, it also gave us the chance to express our creativity through our topic, especially since art was a significant part of what we were presenting. Arts and culture are central to human history. Throughout time, art in various forms has influenced society, communicated important messages, and shaped movements. Whether through visual art, music, dance, or theater, art reflects the values and ideas of different periods. Our project focused on how arts and culture have evolved over time and how they continue to impact society. We wanted to showcase how creative expressions, such as paintings and music, have played key roles in shaping our world. As we began...

My thoughts on our Environmental Sustainability presentation

My Thoughts on Our Environmental and Sustainability Presentation When we first started preparing for our Environmental and Sustainability presentation, I was assigned the role of interviewing selected officials on the subject of Environmental and Sustainability. I reached out to multiple government officials and a few local district officials, and unfortunately, not a single one reached back to me in time. So I took the idea of asking the next best and most intelligent being: artificial intelligence. I asked artificial intelligence a series of questions, and it responded with great, exceptional answers. I also did a significant amount of research to aid my peers on their side of the presentation and to complete their slides.  The first thing that stood out to me was how interconnected everything is regarding the environment. We often think of sustainability in narrow terms, like using metal straws or turning off the lights when we leave a room. But our presentation made it...

2nd presentation Roxanna

The second project that I worked on covered a wide array of topics, ranging from arts and crafts to world culture, community well-being, and environmental sustainability. Each area offered valuable insights into different aspects of life, and collectively, they broadened my understanding of the interconnectedness of various global issues. Personally, I focused on the environment and sustainability, which proved to be an enlightening and eye-opening experience. Working on the environment and sustainability aspect of the project helped me learn about various environmental challenges and the many ways we, as individuals and communities, can contribute to a better future. The project covered a range of topics within environmental sustainability, from the importance of conserving natural resources to addressing issues such as climate change, deforestation, and pollution. One of the main lessons I learned was the power of collective action and how even small changes in our daily lives ...

my presentation - Stephany Asencio

My part of the project was about the local environment and sustainability, I chose to focus on the Patch of Heaven Sanctuary for my presentation because i went for a visit to make my presentation come to life instead of reading and looking at pictures. This sanctuary, dedicated to preserving local wildlife, served as a perfect example of how environmental sustainability can be achieved through conscious efforts and care. The Patch of Heaven Sanctuary, located in a biodiverse region, is committed to preserving native species and restoring habitats that have been impacted by human activity. Its mission is to ensure that these species can thrive for generations to come. This visit not only provided me with firsthand knowledge of the sanctuary’s operations but also deepened my understanding of the vital importance of conservation efforts in maintaining the balance of nature. These insights became the cornerstone of my presentation, where I aimed to show my audience how sustainability effor...

How I felt about my presentation - Stephany Asencio

Presenting in front of others has always been an experience that leaves me both excited and anxious. As I prepared for my recent presentation, I couldn’t help but feel very nervous . The thought of speaking in front of an audience always made me uneasy. As I reflect on how I felt during and after the presentation, I realize that it was a journey of growth, and  a sense of accomplishment. When I first learned that I would be giving a presentation, the thought of standing in front of a small class room of people and speaking especially with the possibility of making a mistake was nerve wracking. Public speaking has always been an area where I felt challenged. The opportunity to present in front of an audience whether small or large offers a unique chance to share ideas, engage with others, and grow personally. Recently, I gave a presentation that provided me with valuable insights into my public speaking skills, as well as my ability to connect with both myself and the audienc...

Thoughts on chapter presentation

I'll be going over the chapter presentation with Group #3 along with my thoughts and feelings over it. Public speaking is an important skillset for anyone. It's not like one of those really niche subjects that are forced to be learned by students who aren't really going to use them. Unless you're mute everyone talks to some capacity, learning public speaking can be an amazing tool to propel those who are already well versed and help aid those who could use some help. There are many reasons why public speaking is such a vital skill First, public speaking fosters leadership. Whether you're speaking in front of a crowd, making a presentation to colleagues, or addressing a community issue, speaking in front of others positions you as a leader. It requires confidence, assertiveness, and the ability to think on your feet. These are all key components of leadership that are highly valued in every field, from business to politics to social movements. The ability to inspire ...

Presentation Blog

When we first started this project I was mostly expecting to not be at my best when putting everything together, and even worse when it came to actually presenting everything. I have been afraid of speaking in front of others for as long as I can remember and I never thought I'd be able to perform well on a project like this, especially as our first major assignment of the semester. I was also worried whatever effort I put into the presentation itself wouldn’t be good enough, that my work would look lazy or uninspired compared to my peers in our group and all the others as well. I’m happy to have been proven wrong in that regard, and that my work stands equally with everyone else’s.
