Roxanna Arriola The first project was an excellent introduction to the fundamental concepts of public speaking. It provided a structured way for all of us to grasp the essentials of effective communication while also offering a platform to put those concepts into practice. Each of us was assigned a section from different chapters, which allowed us to focus on specific aspects of public speaking. However, the project was not just about mastering the chapter we were assigned. It also provided us with an opportunity to learn from our peers’ presentations, gaining a broader understanding of public speaking from different angles and perspectives. The chapters we worked through were incredibly valuable in setting the foundation for the course. They covered everything from the basic principles of communication to more detailed advice on how to structure a speech, control nervousness, engage an audience, and use non-verbal communication effectively.
